Tarangire Day Trip – the word Tarangire derived from two different languages which are Mbugwe and Hadzabe language. The word “TARA” comes from Mbugwe language which means “river” and “NGIRE” comes from Hadzabe Language which means “warthog”.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will leave the hotel heading toward Tarangire National Park. 2 hours drive (120 km) from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. After completing registration at Tarangire National Park gate and having a short break for the washroom, the morning game drive will begin. After Lunch at Matete picnic site. The afternoon game drive will proceed till late evening.

During the game drive you will have a chance to spot, Big 4 animals (cheetah, lions, buffalo and large number of giant elephants), baobab trees, climbing African python, wildebeest, eland, gazelle, impala, zebra, antelope, giraffes, warthogs and over 550 different bird species

After enjoying a great game drive at Tarangire National Park, you will exit the park going back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
